Crown & Bridge

Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and bridges have been used in dentistry for years. We are proud to offer a wide range of options in both porcelain and metal. Our accurate production process ensures great aesthetics and optimum functional occlusal surfaces on all our PFM cases.

Full-cast high-noble gold restorations are the standard for long-term durability of posterior crowns. They have been used for over 100 years in dentistry with exceptional success rate. Some of the advantages of full-cast high-noble crown and bridges are:

Our lab uses ADA - approved high noble metals for all of our full cast crown and bridge cases.

The Captek Crown is a unique scientific breakthrough that enables you to deliver natural, long-lasting crowns and bridges that, most importantly, are healthier for your patients' surrounding gums.

The Benefits of Titanium Crown

Titanium is classified as hypo-allergenic by the AMA, FDA and ADA and has been approved as a medical grade alloy for joint implants as well as dental applications. Clinical studies have shown Titanium to be highly resistant to corrosion.

Lower cost than gold; more profitable for dentists
The market price of Titanium is more stable than Gold and is still classified as a High Noble Metal for insurance purposes under ADA Code 02794. So the insurance reimbursement is the same as gold at a lower cost.

Titanium's properties allow you to clearly see the pulp chamber under the cemented crown allowing for quicker and easier diagnosis of secondary caries saving you time while being more convenient for your patient!

Patient comfort
The very low thermal conductivity properties of Titanium will prevent irritation to the pulp due to temperature changes in the patient's mouth.

High strength & precise fit
By milling the Titanium, instead of casting the metal r you will have a much more precise crown without any of the molecular changes that sometimes occur during casting. The physical strength and mechanical properties of Titanium make it highly desirable for dental applications.

Clinical performance equal to gold
In a three-year study, Titanium was demonstrated to have no statistical difference in clinical efficacy than traditional High Noble Gold.

Titanium has a natural taste
Due to the properties of Titanium, there is no reaction between the metal and saliva or food. Therefore, your patient will not experience any "metallic" taste as exists with other dental alloys.

We provide all-ceramic crowns, bridges & veneers. Ceramics conserve structure and are pressed for fit and layered to mimic the beauty of natural teeth. The material's color, clarity & strength have all been enhanced, resulting in improved strength and superior aesthetics.

IPS E.MAX lithium disilicate (formerly Empress)

For nearly 20 years Ivoclar Vivadent has led the Esthetic Revolution with IPS Empress. The Esthetic Revolution held the promise of better dentistry, and after 35 million cases of Empress, the success stories are endless. Now Ivoclar Vivident is leading the next revolution. IPS E.MAX lithium disilicate holds the promise of not only better dentistry from an aesthetics perspective, but also from durability perspective. IPS E.MAX lithium disilicate's unparalleled esthetics can be fabricated to full contour in a "monolithic" state. Both technicians and doctors agree that the weakest link an any restoration is the porcelain on top. Porcelain-fused-to-metal, alumina and layered Zirconia restorations have a very strong substructure covered by a weaker porcelain to increase the esthetics. In many cases, that porcelain can chip or fracture away from the substructure and ultimately cause the failure of the restoration. Monolithic lithium disilicate has no such weakness. IPS E.MAX lithium disilicate is strong, durable and esthetic through and through. In fact, when evaluated in chewing simulation tests, lithium disilicate crowns proved to be more durable than layered Zirconia supported restorations. An independent study shows that "IPS E.MAX lithium disilicate is the most robust ceramic system tested to date."

Porcelain Veneers and Laminates have been a specialty of SmartLab for years. We offer the Empress IPS E.MAX as well as other materials. Custom shading and photo shade matching is available to our clients as well. We can do ultra thin veneers as well as the conventional thickness.

Zirconia is an innovative system for aesthetic metal-free crowns and bridges. The reliability of Zirconia restorations is backed by years of proven clinical success. The system is used to fabricate anterior or posterior single units or multi-unit bridge restorations out of translucent, biocompatible Zirconia, the strongest and toughest dental ceramic. Zirconia restorations can be placed with conventional cementation or adhesive bonding techniques. Millions of units have been placed worldwide since its introduction. Our digital scanning design and milling system results in an excellent fit and marginal accuracy for your Zirconia restorations.

Many patients who have selected dental implants describe a quality of life that is much more comfortable and secure than the lifestyle endured by those with fixed bridges or removable dentures. Dentures often make a person feel and look older than they are, cause embarrassment in social situations when they slip and click, and restrict the everyday pleasure of eating comfortably.

When they count the benefits they enjoy as a result of their dental implants, patients say their implants eliminate the day-to-day frustrations and discomfort of ill-fitting dentures. They allow people to enjoy a healthy and varied diet without the restrictions many denture wearers face.
